You’ve most likely read some of the comments made about the new James Bond, Daniel Craig. He was insulted, threatened, made fun of, and a lot more. Fans didn’t want him as the new Mister Bond. He was deemed too “raw”, lacked manners, in short : he just wasn’t James Bond. Now that Casino Royale is being released this week and reviews have been positive Daniel Craig can get back at his critics. Though in an interview he does not seem to be interested in getting revenge. Casino Royale is a lot darker than the previous films, more serious. Less technology, more substance. The film is rated PG-13 for it’s torture scene, violence and nudity. Yes, nudity, oh dear how naughty. Mister Craig’s character is supported by a strong international cast, including Dame Judi Dench, Eva Gre and Mads Mikkelsen. Whether this new film will please fans of the last few films remains to be seen. But it was time for a change, and Casino Royale provides that with it’s gritty atmosphere. Oh and let’s not forget the hot new Aston Martin DB5 plays a role in the movie as well.

CASINO ROYALE traces the early career of James Bond. His first “007″ mission leads him to Le Chiffre (Mads Mikkelsen), banker to the world’s terrorists. In order to stop him and bring down the terrorist network, Bond must beat Le Chiffre in a high-stakes poker game at Casino Royale. Bond is initially annoyed when a beautiful Treasury official, Vesper Lynd (Eva Green), is assigned to deliver his stake for the game and watch over the government’s money. But as Bond and Vesper survive a series of lethal attacks by Le Chiffre and his henchmen, a mutual attraction develops, leading them both into further danger and events that will shape Bond’s life forever.
